The city council of Eindhoven, the province Noord Brabant and the school boards of the Regional International School (RIS) and the International Secondary School Eindhoven (ISSE) signed a joint notice of intent in 2003. Now, five years later there will be a merger of the primary school, the RIS and the secondary school, the ISSE, a division of the Stedelijk College Eindhoven. Neil Lawrence is chairman of the RIS and René van Elderen is chairman of the Stedelijk College Eindhoven. In the following interview the two chairmen give their opinion about the strengths of both schools and the need to establish one International School of Eindhoven.
