The Eindhoven city council will soon be starting the contracting procedure for the
building and operating of the new International School Eindhoven. This signifies an
important step in the development of the new Campus. The boards of the RIS and
Stedelijk College Eindhoven established a new foundation on the 28th October 2008,
primarily in the interests of international education. Almost all the financial pledges for
building the new school have been secured. The Dutch State, the business community
and the educational community are investing 34 million euros into the new campus.
Erik van Merrienboer, the Eindhoven executive councillor for economic affairs, explains
his vision of what has been achieved and what still has to happen.
