The Library

The library and media centre constitutes an important part of the educational provision of the ISSE. The library offers students and teachers a quiet and very pleasant learning environment. Both staff and students visit the library during study periods or lessons. Students of all years use the available materials and facilities to work on assignments, with or without the aid of computers, to study or just to read a book or a periodical.

The library occupies an area of about 250 m2. The space is physically separated by means of a central office and storage room. The central information desk, providing support for students and teachers and a work area for administrative and other activities, is situated in the open space connecting both parts. The area is divided into four sections: a quiet work space consisting of 16 work areas and 1 large reading table, a reading corner, an 'open space' with various work areas with of without computers and finally shelves for the collection.
