WELCOME TO THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL EINDHOVEN

The International School Eindhoven provides a secure, well-ordered, caring and happy environment that is at the core of the learning process. Our aim is to provide the finest possible international education for all children in order that they may reach their full potential.

We intend to educate all our pupils to be able to work individually and in teams, to be creative, enterprising and to show initiative; to be able to take decisions and solve problems. We teach them to communicate effectively and to have an appreciation of the aesthetic, physical and cultural dimensions of life.

We provide a caring community within which pupils develop their potential cognitively, physically, creatively, emotionally and socially. Self-awareness and confidence are fostered to enable them to become responsible participants in a changing society.

We welcome to the school, pupils with a wide variety of academic abilities, confident that all will achieve their best and put to good use their different gifts and talents. Each pupil is treated as an equally valuable member of our community. Each is appreciated and learns to appreciate others.

A NEW Campus FOR THE ISE
The International School Eindhoven officially started operation on the first of January 2009. It falls under the umbrella organisation of the Stichting Primair en Voortgezet Onderwijs Zuid-Nederland (SPVOZN), an educational foundation with on four sites. Two of the sites are Dutch national secondary schools serving the needs of the local community; these form the Stedelijk College Eindhoven (2460 students). The other two of the sites form the International School Eindhoven that serves the international community. The Primary Division, formally known as the Regional International School (RIS), is on Humperdincklaan (360 students) and the Secondary Division, formally known as the International Secondary School Eindhoven (ISSE), is on Venetiƫstraat (250 students). Until 2009 these two schools belonged to different foundations operating from 1965 and 1974 respectively. These two schools are now combined under the new name: International School Eindhoven (ISE).

The bringing of the two International schools together has been discussed for some years but has come into fruition with the appointment of a whole school Director in August 2009 and a vision to build a combined campus for the International School Eindhoven school by August 2012. The school is scheduled to move into a very large site that is a Dutch historical monument, the Constant Rebecque Kazerne, in a green area of the city. This academic year much work has gone on bringing the schools together with a common vision. Go to www.campusise.nl for more information on the development of the new ISE campus.
